Marvel’s Daredevil Comes Out Early

Netflix announced the debut date for the first of their new Marvel TV series, Daredevil, and it’s earlier than expected. Originally slated to release in May, the entire 13 episode season will be released on Friday, April 10th to all Netflix subscribers.

matt mCharlie Cox (Boardwalk Empire) stars in the series as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, joined by Rosario Dawson (Sin City, Clerks 2), and Vincent D’Onofrio (Full Metal Jacket). Steven S. DeKnight (Spartacus), Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Drew Goddard (Cabin In The Woods) are the executive producers, with DeKnight serving as showrunner.

The show is shaping up to be an exciting, dark,and gritty series that should hopefully make up for the failed Daredevil movie in the early 2000’s. Official Netflix synopsis below.

“Marvel’s Daredevil” is a live action series that follows the journey of attorney Matt Murdock, who in a tragic accident was blinded as a boy but imbued with extraordinary senses. Murdock sets up practice in his old neighborhood of Hell’s Kitchen, New York where he now fights against injustice as a respected lawyer by day and masked vigilante at night.”
