Star Lord Won’t Be Nathan Drake

Sony reports that Chris Pratt, (Gaurdians of the Galaxy, Parks and Rec) has passed on the lead role in the (long) upcoming Uncharted movie.

This movie has been in development for quite some time, and a few Hollywood big shots have been attached and consequently moved on. At one point Mark Wahlberg was set to start with David O. Russel directing, but both have since moved on.

Despite people coming and going for the project, Sony seems intent on making it happen, as they’ve hit up Oscar winner Mark Boal to write the script.

Peronsally, I don’t think a we need an Uncharted movie, seeing as how Uncharted is basically a videogame of Indiana Jones. But if Sony is going to shove one out anyway, hit up Nathan Fillion or the dude that plays Jamie Lanister on Game of Thrones.  Also, hit up Amy Henning for story pointers, she’d put most movie writers to shame.
