First Video for Halo 2: Anniversary’s Updated “Lockout” Map In Action

Earlier at PAX, 343 industries announced that fan favorite map, Lockout, would be getting the full HD treatment with the Master Chief Collections coming this November. Lockout joins previously confirmed Halo 2 remastered maps Ascension, Coagulation, Zanzibar, and Sanctuary.

As any classic Halo player knows (or should know), Halo MP was all about knowing and controlling the board, meaning weapon balance and well designed maps were key. And it looks like 343 is building on that idea in all the right ways. Specifically, Lockout now features a dynamic environment above the snipers perch, letting you shoot out snow/rocks to keep people from camping.  It looks like 343 is trying to deliver a true Halo experience, and personally, I can’t wait.

Check out the new gameplay video below.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection launches exclusively for Xbox One on November 11. It includes remastered versions of Halo 1-4, access to upcoming digital show Halo: Nightfall, and also gets you into the Halo 5: Guardians beta.
