I was initially incredibly skeptical over the idea of a new take on an already established character in Dick Grayson. However, after reading the first issue of this new rendition of Grayson, much of my skepticism has been erased. Seeley kept the first issue upbeat, fast paced, and action packed. Seeley maintained the joking, light hearted tone that we’re accustomed to seeing from Grayson. The art was excellent, Janin has a knack for drawing Dick Grayson. The colors and action sequences were superb. We were also introduced to a fairly iconic DC comic book character in the first issue. There were a few parts in the story that were a tad confusing, but they fairly easy to look past. Seeley’s biggest challenge will be getting the readers to buy into this new form of Dick Grayson

Final Thoughts:
Going forward, Grayson should offer some interesting and exciting stories that will only add to the mythology of Dick Grayson. The art will only compliment the writing. I’m not totally sold on the idea of 00Grayson, spy thriller, however it should be interesting to see where Seeley takes it. But in the end Dick Grayson will always be Nightwing to me.
