It was rumored but is now officially confirmed by Latino Review, Variety, and the Wrap that Josh Brolin will voice the super villain Thanos “The Mad Titan” in the upcoming James Gunn film, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’. Josh Brolin is also set to appear in Joss Whedon’s ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’. This is yet another great choice by Kevin Feige and Marvel. I thought that DC and Warner Bros. would have snagged Brolin instead of Affleck in ‘BvS: DOJ’ but I would much rather see/hear him as Thanos.
The reports are saying that Brolin will only be the voice actor and will not do prosthetics or CG markers. That is cool with me and lends us to believe that Thanos will probably only make a short appearance – keeping him mysterious – which I am totally good with. He will have a much larger role in the next Avengers film; which will eventually lead to him being the main antagonist in Avengers 3.
So, what are your thoughts on the choice? Happy with it? Leave your thoughts and comments below!
