If you are in the market for a new laptop you should consider the Razer Blade 2014 thin gaming laptop. Now most of you probably don’t know who Razer is but let me tell you this laptop is amazing. Razer makes gaming gear, anywhere from keyboards to mice to peripherals. The Razer Blade is a 14inch laptop with a QHD+ display at 3200×1800 resolution. The screen is super sharp and crisp and will be a great laptop to do some photo editing with. Not only is the screen high res but its also a touchscreen which I was a bit skeptical about at first but after using it for about three days I have to say the touchscreen is actually very useful. I use it more than I thought I would and its very intuitive and very responsive. The laptop is packed with the 4th gen intel core I7 Haswell processor and the latest NVIDIA Geforce GTX 870M GPU and is available with 128GB, 256GB and 512GB SSD.
The SSD is so fast that the laptop boots up in a incredibly fast 20seconds. The trackpad is not as refined as the macbooks but it still works and you can always run a mouse through the 3 USB 3.0 ports on the side of the laptop. The keyboard has a nice chick-let feel to it and the layout is perfect for the size of the laptop. The laptop is just .70mm thin which is thinner than the macbook pro. The games that I have thrown at is have been handled really well with a solid 60fps playing bioshock infinite and LOL. The only complaint I have about the device is the small storage that is offered with it. The 256GB hard drive fills up really quickly but if you don’t mind chugging along an external hard drive then this is a laptop you should consider. The laptop will run you 2,199$ for the 128GB, 2,399$ for the 256GB model and 2,699 for the 512model. Its available at the website Razerzone and the Microsoft stores.
